Psychology Minor

 Students selecting Psychology as a minor must first pass PSYC 2301 General Psychology with a grade of “C” or better. If this course is used to fulfil either the 080 or 090 component area of the General Education core, it may be replaced with any psychology elective. Subsequently,  (18) semester credit hours are required through enrollment in six specified courses. One elective course in psychology may be taken to replace PSYC 2317 Basic Statistics if the student has already completed a math statistics course or a statistics course in their major. The specified courses are as follows:

Students must earn grades of “C” or better in the seven (7) courses constituting the minor. As is the case for the major in Psychology, minor courses completed by a Psychology Major in another academic discipline must be completed with grades of “C” or better, where grades of “C-“ or below are unacceptable.
